It is hard to do justice to what Mila and her staff have meant to me and my family. Our mother was diagnosed with a terminal cancer and benefited from the attentive care of the support workers Mila assigned to her. They were punctual, dependable, and always professional in their care for her. They adapted to her changing condition and were patient when she herself found it difficult to be so. I have often been touched by their sincere concern for her wellbeing and ours. They took their work seriously yet brought a lightheartedness to it, which did us all much good.
We remain grateful for the peace of mind they provided through their knowledgable and diligent care and they will always have a special place in our hearts.

My mother, at 80 years old, was facing a big orthopedic surgery. The success of the operation relied mostly on the recovery over the surgery itself. I knew that the care required from the day after the operation extended beyond the skills I had to truly help her, let alone the time I had available. I strongly recommend MLC Health Care Services to anyone who needs extra care for their elderly parents. A year and a half ago, when both my parents contracted Covid in their retirement home, they needed extra care since they live on the independent-living floor. The nursing staff at the home recommended we contact Mila Camarsi owner of the MLC Health Care Services company. Within a few hours we had 24-hour care, and my parents were extremely impressed with the caring professional care they received.
Unfortunately, my mother has since passed away and my 98-year-old father contracted Covid again. Since he was experiencing extreme weakness in his legs we were worried about the fall risk. I immediately called Mila for 24-hour care. This company offers caring professional nursing care that gives family members peace of mind. My father is recuperating well but should ever we need more help we will definitely contact Mila for their help.”

Let me start by saying I can’t EVER thank Mila and her staff enough for all that they have done for my mother and me! Mila and her wonderful staff have been providing care for my mother for the past 8 years – never missing a day and adapting to her changing health care needs. If I needed them to provide 24-hour support, they did immediately. When my mother has been in hospital they accommodated as best they could to provide ongoing care. I think most importantly, the same caregiver has been the primary caregiver for the last 8 years – and she is FABULOUS!! She is my eyes and ears in the residence and advocates regularly on behalf of my mother. I live a long way away from my mother, and am an only child and feel so very fortunate to have such caring, reliable and professional care for my mother. My two brothers and I are extremely grateful for the care our mother receives, thanks to Mila and the MLC team. We all live far away from Ottawa and it is reassuring to know that we can contact Mila at any time for additional services, such as all-night accompaniment.
Our mother lives on the extended care and memory floor of her residence; an MLC support worker is with her seven days a week for five hours a day. The sitters provide essential assistance at mealtimes, accompaniment to activities, or to the garden, weather permitting, among other things. They are caring, engaged companions who bring their skill and experience, as well as their good spirits and tact, to the hours spent with my mother. They have facilitated FaceTime calls, bed exercise to complement physiotherapy and in-house fitness, and with Mila, have helped to make birthdays or other occasions especially festive, to name just a few examples. During periods when residents are unable to leave their rooms for the sake of health precautions, our mother has benefited from activities, company, and light exercise that might not otherwise be possible at those times.
We visit our mother as often as we can and have come to know and appreciate the MLC support workers whom she regularly sees. They have become part of the time we spend and cherish with our mother, and wholeheartedly recommend MLC health care services.
